Beauties of Asia 2011 3rd Open Audition – April 16, 2011
I will be singing at the 3rd open audition of Beauties of Asia Pageant at Market Village from 2-4pm. If you have time, please watch the auditions. It’s free of charge. The location is at 4390 Steeles Ave. East Markham Ontario.
“Beauties of Asia is organized by the Global Asian Interactive Youth Association (GAIYA). As the second largest Asian beauty pageant in Canada, it involves multicultural performances, Asian Heritage Celebration, and a gala dinner. By showcasing the talents of young Asian Canadians in cultural activities, this event is designed to encourage youth to celebrate their heritage and become involved in their communities. Towards that end, a series of competitions will lead through the month of May and into June in celebration of Asian Heritage Month. The event is called Beauties of Asia 2011. Its purpose is to promote and enrich communication between different cultures within Asian Communities. Eighteen women from different cultures will demonstrate their talent, intelligence, and beauty.” -BOA

Our first music video! “Wedding Tribute to two friends”
In the midst of all the tragedy happening in Japan (my heart and all my prayers go out to them), there was only one thing in Asia that was probably a a light of hope. Two friends of mine, Josie De Leon and Mark Crescini tied the knot on Sunday, March 13th (Philippine time) in Tagatay, Philippines.
Rodney and I had been working on a song for almost two months, which he was hoping to propose for Josie’s upcoming cd. His intention was to have her and her fiancee, Mark, to record it for her album. Considering that we won’t be able to make it to their wedding (Rodney and I still have work), we decided to record the song ourselves (like a demo tape) and create a music video around it. I’m kinda nervous, because I haven’t any idea whether the song would be well recieved and if it touched any hearts. But we figured, why not just do it anyway and whatever happens, at least we made it from the bottom of our hearts.
Here is the song; I do hope it touches you at the heart
