March 2009..start of being busy again with rehearsals and singing engagements. After my vacation in the Philippines for almost a month, here we are again...

I know that starting this month, it's going to be rehearsals every week until next month. Well..hmm..not too bad for now compared to how hectic my schedules were years ago. I like it this way since I won't be too tired and stressed out. I remembered there were times I had to juggle two or three singing engagements in a day.

A few days after I came back to Toronto, I had to go to this filming even if I was still suffering from jetlag. Then, there was this last-minute invitation to sing for a Valentines dinner-dance show. I will talk about this later since I'm getting tired now and sleepy. It's 2:11 a.m. and I still have to do a little bit of my school assignment which I have to submit on Monday. I don't think I would have enough time since I'll be working tomorrow and then the GK Walk Kick-off this Saturday afternoon, birthday party in the evening. Sunday is my only time.

I got home at almost 12mn from practice at Mike Masangkay's place. Josie drove me home. That's why I'm just doing this right now. We met at Sherbourne Station, which was supposed to be at 6:15pm but I had to stay a little longer at work. I got there at the station at 6:27pm. I thought Mike left me already but he was also late because of a delay at Bloor Station. I haven't commuted in a while since my work is just a few minutes away from my place.

We both went to Scarborough Town to meet Josie (De Leon), eventually finding out that it was her first time at Scarborough Town.  I've always thought all my friends have been to Scarborough Town.

We passed by Remely's to get something to eat. When we got there at Mike's place, his brother was cooking chow mein and was with two friends...hmm...I can't remember their names..hmm..

We had dinner while waiting for Alvin who was about to finish dinner at his place. He lives close to Mike so it was okay. He can get there in a short time. It was so funny when Alvin arrived. Everyone, of course greeted him and hugged him. Mischa (hopefully, I spelled it right), Mike's pet, a Siberian husky, who is 9 months old, was doing her best to jump high to reach Alvin so she can lick him on his face.  It was so funny because it looked as if she wanted to hug Alvin as well. But since Alvin is tall, it was difficult for Mischa to reach him.

As soon as we started practicing, Mischa was going around the table where we were practicing as if she wanted to join us...hmmm...maybe more of bothering us? There were several times while we were singing that she was sort of singing with us...hmm..howling? There was one time while she was in the basement (Mike had to bring her down there so we won't get distracted), after we finished the song, we heard her making a sound as if she wanted to sing with us. It was funny...for me.

During our practice, I had a hard time singing since I ate too much. I kept on burping and burping until everyone was burping..except Mike. We practiced the song that we are singing several times. It is just one song but we had to get our harmonies right. Actually, it was me who had to do it so many times with them.

Well, I hope we will do good this Saturday. The GK Kick-Off will be at the Kalayaan Community Cultural Centre from 3-5pm.
